Creature Skateboards, the DNA of American skateboarding

Founded in 1994 within NHS Inc., Creature Skateboards quickly became a reference in skateboarding thanks to its unique visual identity and uncompromising approach to performance. Behind the brand, we find notably Russ Pope, founder of the label, then Darren Navarrette, has become one of the iconic figures of Creature and one of the main architects of its development. Inspired by American comics, horror films, and underground skate culture, Creature has displayed immediately recognizable graphics since its inception, which have greatly contributed to building its reputation among riders worldwide.

Over the years, the brand has managed to reinvent itself while staying true to its DNA. After a period of hiatus, Creature is back on the scene with a new generation of skateboards, cult videos like Born Dead, CSFU or Hesh Law, and a team made up of riders known for their commitment and creativity. Today, David Gravette, Chris Russell and Ryan Reyes continue this legacy by pushing the limits of street, bowl, and transition.

Why choose a Creature deck?

If you're wondering which Creature deck to choose, the answer mainly depends on your practice. The brand develops Creature decks designed for both street and bowl, pool or skatepark, with a wide variety of shapes and sizes. Creature is particularly known for having widely popularized widths over 8.5 inches, highly appreciated by riders seeking more stability, control, and comfort on transition modules or large curves.

The Creature Skateboards decks are made fromCanadian maple carefully selected to offer an excellent compromise between strength, pop, and responsiveness. Some models also benefit from the famous P2 technology, which combines a reinforced structure with technical fibers to improve the board's stiffness, increase its lifespan, and maintain a more consistent pop over sessions. The reviews on Creature P2 decks regularly highlight their resistance and particularly dynamic behavior, both in street and bowl.

Whether you want to buy a Creature deck to renew your setup or opt for a complete Creature skate, the brand offers boards that can accommodate all riding styles. The most technical riders will appreciate the precision of modern shapes, while those who enjoy big curves will find dimensions perfectly suited for the pool and transition.
